wTVision enhances its Real-Time Graphics Display Management

Most recently, STATS and wTVision teamed to provide on-air player tracking graphics for all 31 matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011. TV Globo enhances 2011 Football Coverage with real-time Player Tracking from STATS

January 10, 2011 - STATS LLC, the world’s leading sports technology, information and content provider, announced today an agreement with TV Globo, the leading Brazilian broadcaster, to provide its unprecedented player tracking technology within TV Globo’s coverage of the Campeonatos Carioca and Paulista this January, as well as Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in May.

TV Globo’s football broadcasts will feature enhanced data graphics developed and implemented via STATS’ SportVU player tracking technology. SportVU provides ground-breaking match content and insights including team and player possession stats, player run comparisons (measures the distances and pace run by individual players) and player heat maps (illustrates the areas of the pitch where individual players spent most time). TV Globo will also use new SportVU tracking features that power 3D graphics, using various third party software providers, to create 360 degrees scenes for instant replay and analysis.
