Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox
• Chicago has won 13 of Gavin Floyd’s 16 home starts this season. Floyd is 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA in four starts against the Tigers this season.
• Gary Sheffield is one homer shy of 500 for his career and is 2-for-9 with no home runs in his career against Gavin Floyd. Sheffield is hitting .162 (6-for-37) with one homer in 10 games against the White Sox this season.
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys
• With their 24-17 win over the Cardinals last Sunday, the Redskins have won two straight after dropping their season opener to the Giants. Washington has lost 11 of its last 12 games in Dallas.
• The Cowboys haven’t intercepted an opponent's pass in 147 consecutive attempts—the longest active streak in football. The last Dallas interception came in Week 16 of 2007 off of Carolina’s Matt Moore.
• Dallas has converted 60.0% of its third downs in 2008—best of any team in the league. Since 1991, the highest third-down conversion rate in a single season belongs to the 2006 Colts (56.1%).
(9)Wisconsin Badgers (3-0) at Michigan Wolverines (1-2)
• Wisconsin ranks 13th among all FBS teams and third in the Big Ten, averaging 238.7 rushing yards per game. Ten of Wisconsin’s 13 total touchdowns have come on the ground.
• P.J. Hill has averaged 117.0 rushing yards per game in his career, the highest average among all active FBS running backs (minimum 25 games).
• Since 2006, the Wolverines are 13-3 in Big Ten play. Their three losses have come to Ohio State (2) and Wisconsin.
• The Wolverines’ defense has allowed only 65.3 rushing yards per game this season, the second-lowest average in the Big Ten and 12th lowest in the nation.
Detroit Redwings at Pittsburgh Penguins – Game 6
• Detroit is now 0-5 when trailing after two periods during the 2008 postseason (13-0 when leading after two).
• Tonight’s tilt will be the Red Wings’ 220th postseason game since the 1991 playoffs—most of any team in the four major sports during that span.
• Henrik Zetterberg is a +15 during the 2008 postseason—best among all playoff participants this season and highest since Danny Markov of the Flyers was a +17 in the 2004 playoffs.
• The Red Wings have closed out each of their first three series in the 2008 playoffs on the road.
Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Lakers – Game 5
• The Celtics' 24-point overall comeback surpassed the previous mark of 20 points, which the Rockets overcame to defeat the Orlando Magic in 1995, and is the biggest comeback in Finals history since the stat began being tracked in 1971.
• In the history of the NBA Playoffs, only eight teams (most recently Phoenix vs. LA Lakers in 2006 first round) have been able to wipe out 3-1 deficits. Of those eight teams, only two have not owned home-court advantage in the series.
• Rajon Rondo has handed out 161 assists since the playoffs began, the third most in a single postseason in the history of the Celtics’ franchise. Dennis Johnson had 205 in the 1986-87 playoffs and Larry Bird had 165 assists in the same postseason.
• Scoring just 17 points in Game 4, Kobe Bryant scored less than 22 points for the first time in 14 home playoff games.
