Madison, WI and Northbrook, IL – February 1, 2013
Today STATS LLC, the world’s leading sports information, content and technology provider, and RotoWire.com, one of the most respected content sites in the fantasy sports industry, announced a partnership to enhance STATS’ Online Championship contest for all three sports in its National Fantasy Championship (NFC) series.
The Online Championship contests will now be called the RotoWire Fantasy Baseball Online Championship, RotoWire Fantasy Basketball Online Championship and RotoWire Fantasy Football Online Championship, respectively. Drafts for the RotoWire Fantasy Baseball Online Championship begin on February 19.
STATS will also be offering specific leagues where participants will be able to compete directly with RotoWire writers. RotoWire will be promoting these contests on RotoWire.com and through emails to their customers.
"We're excited to be working closely with the top high stakes company in the industry for an event that is a perfect match for the RotoWire audience. This gives the RotoWire readers an event to compete directly with other RotoWire readers and against the top RotoWire writers and analysts. And since we've worked with both STATS, and the NFBC for many years, we know our customers playing the game will have a great experience with outstanding customer support,” said Peter Schoenke, President of Rotowire.com.
“We are extremely excited to be working with our friends at RotoWire.com. They have one of the most dedicated fantasy audiences in the industry, and this partnership will increase awareness and lead to many new players in all three of our contests,” said Greg Ambrosius, STATS’ General Manager for Consumer Fantasy Games.
The NFC series is the ultimate test in fantasy sports with both live and online leagues. Participant entry fees range from $125 to $10,000, attracting dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable fantasy baseball, basketball and football competitors. This will be the 10th anniversary season of the National Fantasy Baseball Championship, with live events taking place in Las Vegas, New York, Chicago and Online over two weekends: March 22-24 and March 29-30.
