PGA TOUR partners with STATS for supporting distribution of leaderboard scoring data feed and Fantasy Golf game development and management

The PGA TOUR and STATS LLC today announced the designation of STATS as an official distributor of leaderboard scoring data for all PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Web.com Tour events. STATS will also be creating two new fantasy games for PGATOUR.com beginning in 2013.

The PGA TOUR is in a unique ownership position with the data collected at its tournaments through ShotLink. The multi-year agreement enables STATS to license and distribute the TOUR’s hole-by-hole information to broadcast, print, online and other media outlets around the world. STATS is a subsidiary of two global media enterprises -- the Associated Press and News Corporation -- and is a leading provider of sports content internationally.

The PGA TOUR will also debut two new fantasy games in 2013. One is a season long contest that requires fans to select a team of 4 golfers each week, using each golfer a maximum of 10 times over the entire season. A second contest features bracket selections for the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, February 20-24.
STATS is providing turnkey operations management for both games including development, web hosting, technical operations and customer service.
